Description

"The Tear Drop" Birdhouse — Organic & Artisan Design
Bring poetry and design into your garden while protecting biodiversity.

Discover "The Tear Drop", an original birdhouse with a unique organic teardrop shape. It stands out with a superb contrast of textures: a body with a striped, silky, and textured finish, combined with a front face featuring an ultra-realistic bark and natural wood effect. A true object of art and decoration for your outdoor space, designed as a cozy cocoon to help wild birds nest safely.

Each piece is entirely handcrafted with passion and love in my small workshop in Brittany.

- Features & Dimensions
Overall dimensions (L x W x H): 13 x 12 x 23 cm (5.1 x 4.7 x 9.1 in)

Two opening sizes to choose from (diameter):

- 28 mm (1.1 in): Ideal for small tit species (Blue Tit, Coal Tit, Crested Tit), as well as the Eurasian Tree Sparrow or the European Pied Flycatcher.

- 34 mm (1.34 in): Ideal for larger birds such as the Great Tit, House Sparrow, Eurasian Nuthatch, and White-fronted Redstart.

Healthy design: A drainage hole is integrated into the bottom of the birdhouse to wick away moisture and ensure a constantly dry and healthy shelter for fledglings.

- Simplified Installation & Maintenance
Two mounting options: Easily attach it to a tree trunk using a fastening strap (not supplied) for a 100% stable and bark-friendly installation, or install it against a wall or post using the provided slot on the back for a 4 mm screw.

Quick cleaning: The front panel is clipped on. It can be dismantled and reassembled in a flash, allowing you to easily clean the inside of the birdhouse after the nesting season.

- Eco-responsible Shipping
Fast, very careful, and robust shipping.

Eco-friendly and fully recycled packaging to stay true to our commitment to respecting nature.

Information

Material:
All my creations are designed and manufactured by me using PETG, a durable material – more modern than wood!

Durable: resistant to sun, rain, and frost without deteriorating.
Hygienic: easy to clean, no mold or pests.
Design: lightweight, strong, and aesthetic, with a modern style.

I chose to make my creations from PETG because, unlike PLA (used by some sellers), PETG perfectly withstands climatic conditions such as humidity, heat, UV, and frost…

The electricity for manufacturing is supplied by solar panels during the day and by decarbonized energy for the rest of the time!

Have a question?

What is the "La Larme" nesting box for?

It provides a stable and clean shelter for wild birds to nest, creating a true family cocoon that is very easy to install on a tree trunk in your garden.

How is it attached?

Two installation options are available to you:

Against a tree trunk: Securely attach it around a tree using a fastening strap (not supplied), providing perfect stability and an installation that is 100% respectful of the bark.

Against a wall or post: Easily install it using the 4 mm screw hole provided on the back.

What birds does it attract?

It is particularly appreciated by blue tits, marsh tits, crested tits or coal tits, great tits, house sparrows, Eurasian nuthatches, white-fronted redstarts...

Where should I install the birdhouse for best results?

Fix it between 2 and 5 meters high, facing East or South-East (sheltered from wind and heavy rain). Choose a quiet spot, clear the access in front of the entrance, and tilt it slightly downwards when installing to prevent rain from entering. Finally, place it at a good distance from your feeders to ensure the nestlings' peace and quiet.

When should I use it?

Ideally in the fall or early winter. This allows birds to spot the birdhouse in advance and take shelter from the cold during the bad season. At the very latest, install it in February before the start of the spring nesting season.
