Why use fake eggs in your chicken coop?
Establish the laying location: A hen tends to lay where she already sees an egg. Without a clear visual cue, she risks laying her egg on the ground, in soiled straw, or in a hidden corner of the garden. By placing a dummy egg in the designated nest, you clearly indicate the appropriate location.

Protect your harvest: Eggs laid outside the nesting box are exposed to many risks: being trampled, broken, or exposed to humidity, as well as being eaten by predators (magpies, rodents) or the hens themselves. Accustoming your poultry to a sheltered nest ensures clean and intact eggs.
