Information

Material:
All my creations are designed and manufactured by me using PETG, a durable material – more modern than wood!

Durable: resists sun, rain, and frost without damage.
Hygienic: easy to clean, no mold or parasites.
Design: lightweight, strong, and aesthetic, with a modern style.

I chose to make my creations from PETG because, unlike PLA (which some sellers use), PETG perfectly withstands climatic conditions such as humidity, heat, UV rays, and frost...

Ultra-resistant outdoors: Fears neither frost, rain, nor summer sun (unlike PLA, which deforms in heat).

Healthy & hygienic for wildlife: Smooth and non-porous surface, ultra-easy to wipe clean to prevent disease transmission.

Professional durability: A technical and unbreakable material designed to stay outdoors all year round, season after season.

Zero maintenance: No need for varnish, stain, or chemical treatments toxic to birds.

The electricity for manufacturing is supplied by solar panels during the day and by decarbonized energy for the rest of the time!

Have a question?

What is "The Cone" Asian hornet trap for?

The Dome's main purpose is to protect bees and biodiversity in your garden by selectively trapping the Asian hornet, a formidable predator of pollinators.

Protect hives and pollinators: By catching Asian hornets, it reduces predation pressure on bees, allowing them to continue foraging peacefully.

Offer selective trapping: Specifically designed to target the Asian hornet, it helps control this pest while limiting the impact on other beneficial garden insects.

How is it attached?

The Cone is installed very simply and effortlessly on a plastic jerrycan or any other container.

Direct screw-in: Simply screw the body of the trap directly onto the side of the jerrycan after drilling a hole beforehand.

What insects does it attract?

The Cone trap is designed to precisely target unwanted insects while preserving beneficial insects in your garden. Depending on the bait you use, it primarily attracts:

Asian hornets: The trap's main target, which are irresistibly attracted to sweet and fermented scents.

Where should the trap be installed for best results?

Near flowers and hives: Place it near your flowerbeds or a few meters from the hives to intercept hornets where they hunt.

At human height (1.50 m to 2 m): Hang it from a branch for easy access when renewing the bait.

In the sun and heat: An exposed location helps the bait diffuse its odors well to attract hornets.

Sheltered from the wind: Avoid overly exposed areas so that the trap remains stable.

When should I use it?

In spring (March to June): This is the most crucial period. It's when queen hornets emerge from hibernation to create new nests. Trapping a queen at this time prevents the birth of an entire colony.

In late summer and autumn (September to November): Hornets' protein and sugar needs skyrocket to feed future queens before winter. This is when the pressure on beehives is strongest.
