Information

Material:
All my creations are designed and manufactured by me using PETG, a durable material – more modern than wood!

Durable: resists sun, rain, and frost without damage.
Hygienic: easy to clean, no mold or parasites.
Design: lightweight, strong, and aesthetic, with a modern style.

I chose to make my creations from PETG because, unlike PLA (which some sellers use), PETG perfectly withstands climatic conditions such as humidity, heat, UV rays, and frost...

Ultra-resistant outdoors: Fears neither frost, rain, nor summer sun (unlike PLA, which deforms in heat).

Healthy & hygienic for wildlife: Smooth and non-porous surface, ultra-easy to wipe clean to prevent disease transmission.

Professional durability: A technical and unbreakable material designed to stay outdoors all year round, season after season.

Zero maintenance: No need for varnish, stain, or chemical treatments toxic to birds.

The electricity for manufacturing is supplied by solar panels during the day and by decarbonized energy for the rest of the time!

Have a question?

What is the "The Atoll" bird bath used for?

The Atoll is an artisanal system designed to transform a 1-liter glass bottle (juice or milk bottle type, T048 neck) into a self-filling bird bath for the garden.

It fulfills several essential functions:

• Provide a continuous supply of fresh water: Its flow system automatically regulates the water level in the dish as birds drink.

• Ensure a safe drinking experience: Its 180° circular rim allows birds to perch comfortably and survey their surroundings while drinking.

• Protect the health of visitors: The water stored in the bottle remains protected from dust and dead leaves, limiting bacterial proliferation compared to a simple dish placed on the ground.

• Recycle with elegance: It offers a useful and aesthetic second life to your empty glass bottles.

How is it attached?

The Atoll is very easy to install by screwing it on: simply turn a standard plastic water bottle upside down and screw it directly onto the central neck provided in the heart of the platform. Hang it on a wall using its removable support and place it in the shade near your flowers.

What animals does it attract?

Although primarily designed for birds (tits, robins, sparrows, finches, and greenfinches), The Atoll attracts a wide variety of animals and garden-friendly insects looking for a safe water source, including:

Garden birds: The ergonomic perch allows them to easily land and drink safely.

Pollinating insects: During hot weather, bees, bumblebees, and butterflies come to drink from its edges.

Small arboreal visitors: Thanks to its height, it can occasionally help out squirrels or small acrobatic rodents (dormice, garden dormice).

The added bonus: Its suspended position protects birds and insects from ground predators like cats.

Where should I install the bird bath for best results?

To attract as many birds as possible while ensuring their safety and the freshness of the water, prioritize these placement criteria:

In shade or partial shade: Place it under the foliage of a tree or out of direct sunlight. This prevents the water from heating up too quickly, evaporating, and developing algae or bacteria.

Elevated and out of reach of predators: Hang it approximately 1.50 m to 2 m from the ground. This elevated position protects birds from cat attacks.

Close to natural shelter: Install it a few meters (2 to 3 meters) from bushes, hedges, or trees. Birds like to have a place to quickly take refuge in case of danger or to observe their surroundings before coming to drink.

Visibility and tranquility: Choose a quiet spot in the garden, but ideally visible from a window of your house to enjoy the spectacle without disturbing the visitors!

Tip: Change the water regularly (1 to 2 times a week) to keep it always clean and welcoming.

When should I use it?

All year round! Unlike feeding, which is mainly limited to winter months, water is a permanent vital need for garden wildlife.

• In summer (crucial): During heatwaves and droughts, natural ponds and puddles dry up. A water source then becomes a vital resource to prevent dehydration in birds and pollinating insects.

• In winter: When temperatures drop, natural water freezes. A bird bath allows birds to drink and maintain their plumage (essential for maintaining their thermal insulation against the cold).

• In spring and autumn: During breeding season and migrations, birds expend an enormous amount of energy. Having a fresh water source available greatly facilitates their lives.

Seasonal maintenance tip:

• In summer: Change the water regularly to keep it fresh and prevent mosquito breeding.

• In winter: If temperatures become very negative, temporarily remove the glass bottle to prevent it from cracking due to frost, or fill it with lukewarm water in the morning.
